How to stop sharing a company with Remote Data Access?
Note: The Sage 50 user who shared the data first is the data owner. Only this user can stop sharing a company through Remote Data Access.
- Log in to the company you want to stop sharing.
- Go to File > Remote Data Access > Stop Sharing.
- Select Yes to confirm. A confirmation message will appear stating that the company is no longer shared.
- Users who previously downloaded the company will still have access to their local copy.
- They will not see any new changes saved to the company.
How to remove a user from a Remote Data Access company?
Note: Sharing must be paused temporarily to remove a user. Notify other users who may be working in the shared company before making changes.
- Go to Maintain > Users > Set Up User Security. A notification will appear that Sage 50 will pause sharing—click Yes.
- Select the user you want to remove and click Delete User. Confirm by clicking Yes.
- Click Save and Close. Sharing will automatically resume once the changes are complete.
